Okay, I think this is completely stupid, but- How the HECK do I listen to the OST...? I have the 2CD special edition, and I can't seem to be able to coax any sound out of them, only videos and a browser-based collection of trailers and several DP pics.

The poster is amazing, but I'm seriously disappoint... >>

What are you using to listen to it?
Bringing Order into your Chaosokami_hu on January 6th, 2011 05:12 am (UTC)
I assumed the CD will just pull one of my mediaplayers along... When it actually told me to open a mediaplayer first, I tried Windows Media Player, VLCPlayer and Winamp.

There was no automated reaction, and the CDs themselves don't seem to have any music files on them.

This may sound silly, but have you tried listening to it on a normal CD player? Maybe it's got some sort of music-file-locking software to prevent piracy?
Bringing Order into your Chaos: dedokami_hu on January 6th, 2011 05:25 am (UTC)
It didn't even cross my mind. O__o Partly because the only CD player in the house is not in my room. Now I can be happy that I actually bought that some eight years ago...?

(This, with the need to have a Facebook/Twitter account to be able to view extra content does nothing for my faith in humanity. >>)

LOL I love my CD player, I use it all the time but I'm oldschool like that *g*

Let us know if it works!
Plus if it IS locked for that reason, it's pretty clear it failed since the tracks on those two cds are already out :X

Do you have the actual CDs, or 320kbps FLAC digital version of the album? If it's the FLAC version, go download VLC media player. iTunes worked for me when playing the physical 2 CD set.
Bringing Order into your Chaosokami_hu on January 6th, 2011 05:13 am (UTC)
It's the actual CDs. And I've never used iTunes before, and I'm definitely not delighted to be forced to try, but if all else fails, I'll dig that up... Thanks for the tip.

I used Realplayer basic as well as VLC. Both work.
Bringing Order into your Chaosokami_hu on January 6th, 2011 05:14 am (UTC)
VLC doesn't. I tried.

And I have another question, but .... 2 CD special edition? Where did you get that?

ETA. Edited for possible rudeness, your question isn't stupid at all.

I think it was only released in Europe.

Here's a link http://www.amazon.co.uk/Tron-Legacy-Special-Daft-Punk/dp/B00467EKK4/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1294269729&sr=8-4

Or you can download the extra tracks. VERY annoying.

It was released in Canada, too. Which I was very happy about, as "Castor" ended up being my favourite track on the score...

Ok, I hope this is not against the rules, but here is a torrent to the complete works. Some of them were special only to UK or like Amazon. The extra songs that are in here that are not on the American release are:

2. Encom Part II (2:17)
3. Round One (1:40)
4. Castor (2:19)
5. Reflections (2:42)

iTunes bonus tracks
23. "Father and Son" (3:12)
24. "Outlands, Part II" (2:53)

Amazon MP3 bonus track
23. "Sea of Simulation" (2:41)

Nokia Ovi Store bonus track
23. "Sunrise Prelude" (2:50)

1. Trailer opening (3:03)
2. Flynn remembers (3:02)
3. City Reveal (2:01)
4. Victory (2:24)
5. Battle (1:22)
6. Alan Bradley's Message (0:44)

It was what it was offered on the European site... I picked that because I live in Europe, I thought the shipping would be cheaper and less fussy.

I had no idea they were not offering that in the US... O_o

I find it completely unfair that the UK & Canada get the awesome ness, while America doesn't. =/ oh well thank goodness for torrents ;)
